In The Day of the Jackal (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier generation model. This would have been a great cat-and-mouse chase if the female lead had been anyone else, literally anyone else. The way they portray the detective makes the viewer, at least this one, not want to root for them.

When she looks, she’s getting closer to him. Unfortunately, if she does, it’ll make me want to stop watching this show.
