Liam Neeson’s character was diagnosed with CTE by his doctor
An aging gangster tries to reconnect with his sons and rectify the mistakes of his past, but the criminal underworld won’t loosen its grip willingly. Liam Neeson began boxing at age 9 and boxed at an amateur level until he was 17. A definitive diagnosis of CTE can only be made by examination of brain tissue after a person’s death. This diagnosis should have been presumptive and other options and possible treatments explored.

Yes, it’s not Taken, but that’s the point
The story, while far from original, is thoroughly engaging and entertaining. A tough man at the limits of his powers, both physically and mentally. His character has a trail of destruction behind him and a certain but bleak future ahead of him. Does he have enough time to make amends and come to terms with himself?
It’s an action movie
The film isn’t afraid to slow down the pace when necessary. The trailer gives the wrong impression, but it makes what follows an unexpected surprise. no? It’s a movie about the human condition.
Watch it and be fair
Neeson proves what a great actor he is.
