Scenario
Hodge is the third actor to portray Cross, following in the footsteps of Morgan Freeman, who first played him on screen in 1997’s Kiss the Girls and again in the 2001 sequel Along Came a Spider; and Tyler Perry as the title character in 2012’s Alex Cross, which bombed at the box office and led Lionsgate to scrap a planned sequel to the Double Cross series. However, I think he’s a poor cousin of the Idris Elba-starring Luther from the UK.
You don’t with Cross
Both he and Cross are said to possess extraordinary psychological analysis skills. You get that with Luther.
Their scenes just don’t do enough justice to the great acting of the main characters
There are only two times in 8 episodes where he does the whole "Spideysense" thing and gives analysis that the others just don’t get. In this show, he’s the image of Andy Farrell, the coach of the Irish rugby team.
Enjoyable show, but I think Luther does it better
One is black and the other is white, but, man, the resemblance is uncanny!
